Nature Room

The Maureen Holthe Environmental Education Center

The first of its kind inside a Boys & Girls Club. This program gives youth access to programs about animals, nature, gardening, and the environment. Our program encourages youth to think about issues and concepts globally and to take positive action on a local level to find solutions.

Creature Care

This program is unique to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tustin as it offers members a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with some exotic animals. Members get the chance to learn how to care for and interact safely with animals such as chinchillas, lizards and so much more! All members are under careful watch of a staff member who has experience working with all animals in the Environmental Education Room.

Upcycling Club

Allows members to use and learn about the three R’s; reducing, reusing and recycling. We take items that were donated or no longer wanted and find creative ways to make them useful again. Members learn the importance of recycling items rather than throwing them away. Upcycling also allows members to invent new uses for items to help benefit themselves or the animals within the room.
