Fine Arts

In the Cultural Fine Arts program at the Boys & Girls Club of Tustin, it is our mission to foster value, passion and the significance of art. Club members learn that an artist is a student of everything. Mistakes are celebrated as learning tools and doors that lead us to new paths we would not otherwise venture. Learning and creative direction is student inspired and led supported by a positive and encouraging environment. Through this system a sense of ownership and accomplishment is created that will fuel creative problem solving for the rest of their lives.

Oil Masters

Oil Masters is on of the more challenging and rewarding classes offered. Inspired by the great masters and their techniques, club members seek to develop their own visual language. Creativity happens when mastery of formal skills are combined with original thought and experimentation. In this class an opportunity is presented to use media that requires a higher level of respect such as oil paint, mixing mediums, palette knives, and brushes. Members quickly learn that making art is a challenging journey, but the experience is priceless.

Makers Space

Members will find freedom to create anything. They are only limited by their imagination. A member can fulfill his/her wish to create a giant cheese burger sculpture or an intricately layered, highly detailed sculpture composed of tiny little bits of upcycled trinkets. Through upcycling members can convert the old and discarded into something that is visually compelling, beautiful or just fun!
